Eliots ber\u00fchmtem Gedicht <em>The Waste Land<\/em> (1922)?<\/p>\n<p>Hier ist er:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>April is the cruellest month, breeding<br \/>\nLilacs out of the dead land, mixing<br \/>\nMemory and desire, stirring<br \/>\nDull roots with spring rain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>N\u00e4hme man diese ersten Zeilen einfach nur w\u00f6rtlich (was man nat\u00fcrlich bei einem so vielschichtigen Gedicht nicht darf!), m\u00fc\u00dfte man ganz energisch widersprechen. Der April als &#8222;grausamster Monat&#8220;?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/antibarbarus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/P1120579.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4918\" title=\"Hainbuche\" src=\"http:\/\/antibarbarus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/P1120579-1024x358.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"http:\/\/antibarbarus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/P1120579-1024x358.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/antibarbarus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/P1120579-300x105.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00fcher hie\u00df es, wie in dem Gedicht von Emanuel Geibel: &#8222;Der Mai ist gekommen, die B\u00e4ume schlagen aus&#8220; &#8211; aber das ist schon lange nicht mehr so. Wenigstens hier im Rhein-Main-Gebiet und erst recht an der Bergstra\u00dfe treiben Str\u00e4ucher und kleinere B\u00e4ume (wie die Hainbuche auf dem Foto, das ich heute im Wald aufgenommen habe) schon Anfang April aus, und sp\u00e4testens Ende des Monats ist (vielleicht bis auf ein paar sp\u00e4te Eichen) der gesamte Wald gr\u00fcn. Der eigentliche Wonnemonat ist also gar nicht mehr der Mai, sondern (von rauhen Gebirgslagen abgesehen) der April.<\/p>\n<p>Es w\u00e4re interessant, einmal die Ver\u00e4nderung des Klimas anhand solcher Zitate aus der Literatur zu belegen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kennen Sie den Anfang von T.S.
